Woodvale Primary School P & C Association is a group made up of parents, carers, school principal/deputy principal, and members of the local community. The group exist to raise funds to enhance the educational experience for students of Woodvale Primary School.
The WPS P&C is looking forward to another fantastic year, and we have lots of exciting events planned. Our subcommittees who are involved in organising the specific events are always looking for volunteers.
New members are always welcome to join our meetings. Come along to our next P & C meeting and find out how you can get involved, or check out the P & C notice boards around the school for further information.
Fundraising and events
Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, the P&C is limited in the events it can run. In keeping with the current State and Federal regulations, unfortunately, events such as the School Discos, Banking and the selling of Mother’s Day Gifts (and possibly Father’s Day gifts) cannot go ahead at present. When the Government declares it safe and these regulations are lifted, we will once again be able to organise and run these events, which we know, so many students enjoy.
There are still ways you can help the P&C while social distancing! The very popular Entertainment Book is on sale again, please contact Sian Wray to order your 20/21 copy today! The Pandemic won’t last forever and there will be many small businesses seeking our support when it’s over!
The P&C introduced a new fundraiser this year, the AFL Online Tipping Competition, geared at parents and the local community. With the AFL Season put on hold, so is the Tipping Comp. but the P&C is closely monitoring the situation and will inform participants’ if/when the competition resumes. If you’d like to be involved in the Tipping Comp it’s not too late to enter, please contact P&C Co President Jason Sachse on 0406 564 019 for the details. 1st Prize is a $1000 Woolworths Voucher!
The P&C Committee looks forward to the time when things return to normal and we can again hold fun, community events that bring people together and help raise funds for the School.
We hope you and your families stay safe and healthy. The P&C Committee.
